Noorul Islam Trust was established in the year 1998 under the efficient guidance of the founder Chairman Sri. K M Moosa. The trust excelled in the field of education and health care. The main objects of the Trust are establishment and conduct of educational institutions, mainly professional educational institutions with a view to impart professional education in backward areas especially Idukki District.

Al Azhar Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital under Noorul Islam Trust was granted with permission from the Medical Council of India in the year 2014 to start MBBS course with 150 seats of intake capacity. The institution is a 740 bedded, tertiary hospital with highly experienced medical staff. The institution aspires to provide world class & affordable medical care for everyone.

- Prepare graduates nurses to assume responsibilities as professional competent nurses and midwives at basic level to provide comprehensive health care services including preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services.
